History

History

The Centre for Environment and Community Assets Development (CECAD) was established in 2004, under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. CECAD is a non-governmental organization with headquarters in Hanoi and a second office established amongst the projects in the commune of Tu Ne, Tan Lac District, Hoa Binh province. CECAD staff members have academic backgrounds in both social and natural sciences. CECAD staff includes researchers and practitioners working in biology, ecology, forestry, environment, conservation, community development, resource management, economics, and sociology. CECAD also works with several national and international scientists, consultants, volunteers, and organizations working in community development.
