[FLC 20-02] TALKSHOW “FRESHWATER FOR MEKONG RIVER DELTA”
Within the framework of project FLC 20-02, CECAD cooperated with VTV2, Science and education channel of Vietnam Television to conduct the Talkshow “Fresh Water for Mekong River Delta”.
Saline intrusion in the dry season in 2022 is forecast to be higher than the average level of recent years. Although the situation is not as serious as the dry season of 2019-2020, the preparation work to cope with drought and saline intrusion in the dry season 2022 still needs to be implemented in a timely manner.
The talkshow covers the drought and saline intrusion situation in the Mekong River Delta in recent years, along with local voices and experts’ opinions on impacts and efforts in improving resilience to these climate issues in the area.

CECAD’s interventions within the framework of the FLC 20-02 project have brought many positive results, especially the support in monitoring and warning of drought and saline intrusion.
