The delegation of US Embassy in Bangkok visited the project site

On April 23, 2016, the delegation of the US Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand lead by Mrs. Louise Tahra as the head of the delegation, visited the project “Conservation of Orchids through Research and ex situ Conservation Measures in Ngo Luong Nature Reserve, Vietnam”, implemented by CECAD in Tu Do commune, Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province. The delegation spent the afternoon working with the representatives of the People’s Committees of Lac Son district and Tu Do commune, and the Management Board of the Ngoc Son – Ngo Luong Nature Reserve.

The delegation praised the goals of the project, and the positive impact the project will have for the local people, especially in Tu Do commune but also for the people in the conservation area and Lac Son district in general. The representatives of the People’s Committee of Lac Son district also appreciated the goals of the projects and the positive changes it will have for the locals, and the expressed hope for the implementation of the project’s next stages for the continued support to the people.

The delegation worked with representatives of the People’s Committee of Lac Son district, Ngoc Son-Ngo Luong Nature Reserve and the People’s Committee of Tu Do commune.
