Field works on community forestry and poverty alleviation in Son La, Nghe An and Gia Lai province

During March 2006, CECAD’s research team conducted field surveys in Chieng Dong district (Son La province), Con Cuong district (Nghe An province), Gia Lai province. The research team have conducted household interviews, key informant interviews and group discussions with the local people in the areas in order to find out the importance of community forestry in their livelihoods as well as the challenges for community forestry management. 

The findings from the research will be presented and discussed in the national workshop on community forestry and poverty alleviation in October 2007.
